Would you like to travel with us to some Peruvian sacred sites? Is Machu Picchu and Cusco on your bucket list? Come with Carolyn Potter and Karen Martin on this adventure to South America in this very special year.

We are working to get the best airfares from the US to Lima and return. This is a travel expense not included in the cost of the trip. Once you register for the trip, we will keep you posted on flight information. We have asked them to hold 20 seats.

Insurance is required by our guide company. Travelguard is a reputable company suggested by our guide company. You can access the website directly and enroll. The Basic Plan is often more than adequate. It covers any travel, baggage, hotel and medical situations for a very reasonable price.  However, be sure to review the details to assure it covers your personal situation. You may register at any time. [SEE BELOW]

No required
inoculations, however you must have a passport. Your passport must be valid for 6 month past the date of departure for this trip. You can go on line or to your local post office and get details for securing a passport. It can take up to 3months. If you want to register for the trip you can do so and then add the passport information when it is available.

Arrangements have been made for special guides for us with special events. A
Shaman will include us in a special ceremony!

Weather is generally around high 60’s during the day and nears low 30’s at night as we are in the mountains. Plan to layer and take a fleece type coat. Have comfortable walking shoes/boots that have support. We don’t plan any extensive hiking but we are on our feet much of the day. The streets in Cusco are sometimes brick and uneven. You will be carrying your luggage at some points. Pack accordingly.

                                                              TRAVEL INSURANCE
We recommend Travel Guard Insurance. Please read all levels of coverage and choose the one that fits your medical condition.

GENERAL NOTE:  Travel Insurance is an umbrella term covering a variety of insurance for travel and is usually not expensive.  This includes Health, Life and Trip.  Travel/Trip Insurance packages may include some or all of these.

A Health Insurance supplement will fill in the gaps of your present Health Insurance while traveling and especially while outside the USA.

The Trip Cancellation portion, in general, will cover the cost of your trip and more if you must cancel, but the conditions under which it pays varies.  It is your responsibility to understand those conditions so ask questions and research before you purchase.  Use the links below to help educate yourself, to compare other carriers.
