Great works of art are considered prized possessions in private and national collections. And compositions of the masters of music remain “hits” for hundreds of years! Surely the beauty of the soul has been expressed in such works of art.
And just in case I have not realized it, I now know that I am a work of art also. Even more than that, I am a work of Spirit. God created me and only one me, so I am unique and special. No one can ever duplicate or replace me.
So whether or not the image I see of myself is one I think of as a work of art I know that I am! And if I have not considered the people around me as prized creations, I take another look at them. As God’s creation, every person is of irreplaceable beauty and worth.
“Come to him, a living stone…
chosen and precious in God’s sight.”
