The first comparison is traditional with an Aramaic to English translation.  The second comparison is to the one Rev. Thomas was inspired to write.  He says, "the traditional version continues to have power for me and it's what I recite.  However the words now have greater meaning because of the Aramaic translation and my inspired version."

Inspired spiritual writings describe the same phenomenon in their own way.  This provides multiple ways to view the same thing.  They compliment each other rather than contradict.  Complex subjects often need multiple viewpoints.  Poets uniquely describe a beautiful sunset or being in love in their own way.  Yet, it's the same sunset and the same feeling.  So it is with understanding the Creative Source and our place and purpose in it.
