It is not necessary to become Spiritual from the practice of any religion. It is the difference between the letter of the law and the spirit of the law. Every religion will teach you what to do, but not every religion encourages a personal relationship through your divine nature with Source (God). You must choose this path. Do we know what we are FOR? We likely know what we are against, but do we know what we are FOR? The difference is key.
Mother Teresa got it. In the 60's she was asked to join a protest march against the Vietnam war. She kindly declined and added that if they ever had a march FOR something she would gladly participate.
Does this seem like a difference without a distinction? It might seem so, however the energy is quite different between the two approaches. If you are fighting to end fighting the energy looks the same. Your life is an energetic prayer for your next experience. The Universe is designed to multiply the energy of every request to either bring more of the same or a new vision. Every action you take is a request colored by the energy behind it. SCARCITY IS 'FEAR BASED,' ABUNDANCE IS 'LOVE BASED'
“Be careful what you pray for,” is a warning we are all familiar. Usually this is meant in the context of the desired result but with unforeseen problems. Less obvious is that when we pray for what we want we are asking for more want. The Universe responds by providing experiences of want.
Praying for healing may actually be requesting more experiences of needing healing. Praying FOR the experiences you will enjoy with good health is Love Based and calls that to action. Imagine all you will do with good health. Imagine family time and travel. Imagine activities with grandchildren. Imagine interesting travel experiences.
I once prayed for an end to my car payments at a time when it was difficult to make them and then my car was totaled. Was this coincidence or an answer to my prayers? Wealth is not exciting of itself. It's what we can experience having wealth that is exciting. Imagine doing good and using it selflessly. Imagine those experiences passionately and your prayer is supercharged. The Universe will respond. [MORE]

"THEM" IS 'FEAR BASED,' "US" IS 'LOVE BASED'
Consider negative advertising. What is said about it is, “it works.” Negative ads invoke fears. Fear based actions do not bring Love Based results, only more reason for fear. Often it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy seeming to prove that the original fear was justified. Negativity dominates our politics. Little wonder that things are such a mess.
Fear polarizes. Fear creates a THEM. It is then possible to dehumanize, crucify, burn at the stake, or persecute in the name of good. Fear justifies any means to an end. People may rally against Gay people until they discover their child is Gay. It is harder to do when it includes someone we care for. We are either all children of God or not. The myth of Satan created and still creates the THEM needed to convince good people to do terrible things in the name of God.
Yeshua (Jesus) understood this well when he said to “turn the other cheek.” It is the most powerful response as it will change (transform) a situation. The Old Testament “eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth” is a human response that will escalate and prolong a situation, not change or end it.
Love does conquer all. In this workshop we will explore the subtleties of our thoughts and actions to better grasp this powerful Truth. [MORE]

WE ARE ONE: GOD IS THE CREATION, WE ARE PART OF CREATION
Long ago I stopped believing in a God of magic or micromanagement. So long as we continue to embrace Old Testament views of God we will not embrace our true role in Creation.
God (Creative Force) is responsible for making it all. As it unfolds we are responsible for what's next. We have the power to influence the unfolding of Creation. The tiller is now in our hands to steer - choose direction. God is manifest as the Creation. God Force is within all Creation – nothing exists without it. We too are made of God Stuff. We are a functional part of the next phase of Creation. We are writing the next chapters. Will they be a tragedy, a comedy or a heart warming story where everyone lives happily ever after?
Old Testament understandings produce, “It's the will of God,” or “If God allows it to happen.” This produce the stalemate of us waiting for God to act and God patiently waiting for us to act. New Age understandings can be more enlightened but can fail to integrate fragmented truths into a comprehensive whole. Fundamentalist Christians may reject anything New Age and New Agers may reject any teaching that mentions Jesus. No one single philosophy or theology has the corner on the whole truth. But they all hold an essential piece of the puzzle.
We were created In His likeness and Image. We were born creating (i.e.-requesting) the life experiences we have had. By accepting this we will learn how to steer, our life will no longer be battered when winds of change blow. We go from clinging helplessly to the mast of a boat waiting for the storm to pass to seizing the opportunity to set the sails and be transported effortlessly to a brighter future.
